2l-silicone-hot-water-bottle-with-soft-striped-fleece-cover
2L Silicone Hot Water Bottle with Soft Striped Fleece Cover

This is a 2 litre silicone hot water bottle wrapped in a soft, striped fleece cover, made for warming the bed, soothing period cramps and easing a stiff back on chilly evenings. Nairobi nights in June and July can be properly cold, and many homes have no central heating, so a hot water bottle is still one of the cheapest and most comforting ways to stay warm. The fluffy cover keeps the heat gentle on your skin and holds warmth for longer, and the textured stripes give it a cosy, homely feel. It comes in several soft colours, including mint, cream and grey stripes. It is ideal for students, older relatives, anyone who feels the cold at night, and as a caring gift for a friend recovering from illness or struggling with monthly pain.

Specifications

Capacity

2 litres

Bottle

Silicone

Cover

Soft striped fleece-style cover

Colours

Assorted, including mint, cream and grey stripes

Uses

Bed warming, cramps, back and muscle aches

Buying guide

Fill it with hot, not boiling, water and only to about two-thirds full; then squeeze out the air before screwing the stopper tight, which keeps it soft and flexible against the body. Always use it inside its cover and never sit or lie directly on top of it. Check the stopper and seams for leaks each time, and empty it fully after use, hanging it upside down to dry. The cover can be removed and washed gently by hand. A hot water bottle only needs a kettle, works anywhere and moulds to your body. The fleece cover makes it softer and longer-lasting in warmth than a bare rubber bottle.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fill it with boiling water?
Use hot water from a kettle that has cooled slightly, not boiling water, and fill it to about two-thirds.

Is the cover removable?
Yes, the fleece cover slips off so you can wash it gently by hand.

How big is it?
It holds 2 litres, a full-size bottle that covers your tummy, lower back or the foot of the bed.

Can I choose a colour?
Several colours are available, such as mint, cream and grey stripes.
