quilted-waterproof-pillow-protector-standard-size-white-or-grey
Quilted Waterproof Pillow Protector, Standard Size, White or Grey

This is a waterproof pillow protector in standard size that zips or slips over your pillow under the pillowcase, keeping sweat, drool, make-up, hair oil and spilled tea out of the filling. Pillows turn yellow and start to smell long before they lose their shape, and once moisture gets into the fibre it cannot be washed out properly. A protector stops that at the surface, so your pillows stay clean, fresh and comfortable for far longer. The quilted diamond top keeps it soft to sleep on instead of crinkly. Available as a single piece or a pair, in white or grey to match your bedding. It is especially worth having for children's beds, for anyone who uses hair oils or night creams, for guest rooms and Airbnbs where many people use the same pillows, and in hot Kenyan months when night sweats are common.

Specifications

Type

Waterproof pillow protector

Size

Standard

Top

Quilted diamond pattern

Colours

White, grey

Available sizes

Pc, Pair

Buying guide

Buy the pair if you sleep two to a bed or want both pillows on your side protected; buy single pieces for a child's bed or to replace one worn protector. Standard size suits ordinary bed pillows, so check that your pillows are not king or oversized before ordering. Fit the protector directly over the pillow, then put your normal pillowcase on top. Wash protectors every two to four weeks, or straight away after a spill or illness, on a gentle cycle and avoid very hot water and bleach, which can damage the waterproof layer. Air-dry or line-dry them in the shade rather than ironing. White shows when it needs washing; grey hides marks between washes.

How it compares

A pillowcase alone lets sweat and oils soak straight through into the pillow. A plastic pillow cover keeps liquid out but is hot and noisy to sleep on. A quilted waterproof protector gives the same barrier while feeling like fabric, so it is the comfortable way to make pillows last several times longer.

Frequently asked questions

Will it feel plastic or make noise?
It has a soft quilted top, so it feels like fabric when you sleep on it with a pillowcase over it.

Does it fit any pillow?
It fits standard-size pillows.
