Buying guide
Double-walled glass is stronger than it looks but should still be hand washed: dishwasher pressure and heat can force water into the seal on cheaper designs, and the borosilicate rim is the vulnerable part. Do not use it in a microwave with the wall sealed unless the manufacturer states it is safe. Because the outer wall stays cooler, drinks feel less hot to hold than they are — worth remembering around children. The insulation also means a drink cools more slowly, so pour slightly cooler than you would into a ceramic mug if you like drinking immediately.
How it compares
Against a ceramic mug, double-walled glass holds temperature longer, stays cool to hold and lets you see the drink — which matters for layered coffees and teas. 4. Tracking

6. Damaged in Transit
