A three-piece Nordic duvet cover set in microfibre: cover plus pillowcases, in the pared-back Scandinavian styling that suits a plain bedroom. Microfibre is the low-maintenance choice — it dries fast in a Nairobi afternoon, comes off the line almost smooth, and holds colour through frequent washing better than cotton does.

Buying guide
Choose microfibre if laundry turnaround matters — rentals, guest rooms and family beds where the set must be washed and back on the bed the same day. It sleeps slightly warmer than cotton, so for a hot bedroom in Mombasa a cotton cover is the better call. Wash cool; microfibre is synthetic and hot washes will eventually pill the surface.
How it compares
Against cotton, microfibre wins on drying speed, wrinkle resistance and colour retention, and loses on breathability. Against a five-piece bedding set, three pieces cover the duvet and pillows while you keep using sheets you already own. Against a plain single-tone cover, the Nordic styling gives the bed a finished look without pattern clutter.
Frequently asked questions
What is in the 3-in-1 set?
The duvet cover and matching pillowcases — three pieces in total.
Is microfibre hot to sleep under?
It is slightly warmer than cotton. In hot coastal bedrooms, cotton breathes better; in Nairobi and upcountry most people find microfibre comfortable year round.
How quickly does it dry?
Much faster than cotton — usually within a few hours on the line, which is why it suits guest rooms and rentals.
