Measure the cabinet interior height as well as the width — a three-tier rack needs headroom for the tallest jar on the back row, and that is what usually rules one out. Expand it to fill the shelf rather than leaving a gap at one end, where jars will inevitably migrate and fall over. Keep spices out of direct sunlight and away from the cooker's heat, both of which dull ground spices faster than age.
