A wristwatch with four matching jewellery pieces, chosen to work as one look rather than as separate purchases. It suits the person who likes accessories but would rather not assemble combinations — put the set on and the wrist, neck and ears agree, which is most of what makes an outfit look finished.

Buying guide
Fashion sets are plated, so the enemies are water, perfume and lotion — put the jewellery on last when dressing and take it off first at night. Store the pieces in the box so they do not rub against each other. If the recipient wears one metal tone exclusively, check the set matches before ordering.
How it compares
Against buying a watch by itself, the matched pieces turn it into a gift. Against a themed set — hearts or florals — this stays neutral and gets worn more often. Against fine jewellery, it is far less costly and needs gentler handling.
