A white striped cotton duvet cover set for a 6x7 bed. White with a woven stripe is the bedding hotels standardise on for good reason: it looks immaculate when clean, it can be washed hot without losing colour, and it never argues with the rest of a room. On a large 6x7 bed the effect is the most generous version of that look.

Buying guide
White is the practical colour for rentals because it can be washed hot and bleached if needed — but it shows everything, so plan on two sets in rotation. Keep white away from all-day sun, which yellows cotton over time despite what people expect. Wash separately from coloured bedding on the first few cycles.
How it compares
Against coloured bedding, white can be laundered aggressively and always matches. Against a printed cover, the woven stripe gives texture with no pattern to date. Against satin, cotton breathes and holds its place on the bed.
