Fill the tiers fully, because a part-empty container loses heat faster. Put wetter food such as stew or soup in the lower tier and drier food like rice or chapati on top. Carry it upright in the insulated bag. After eating, rinse the steel compartments soon so sauces do not dry on, then wash with warm soapy water; avoid steel wool, which scratches the finish.
