A six-slot wooden watch organiser with a lined interior — wood outside for the look and the weight, soft lining inside so cases rest on fabric rather than hard board. It holds six watches securely, which covers most collections, and it looks like furniture on a dresser instead of like a storage accessory.

Buying guide
Wood is the right choice for a box that stays on show, but keep it away from windows and bathrooms: sun fades the finish and humidity swells timber over time. Wrap straps around the cushions rather than buckling them tight, which keeps leather from creasing. Dust with a dry cloth only.
How it compares
Against a plastic or leatherette organiser, wood looks and feels substantially better and costs more. Against a glass-topped case, a solid lid keeps light off dials, which is better for storage. Against a 12 or 20-slot box, six slots suit a working collection rather than a collector's.
