Tufted bedding should be washed on a gentle cycle and never with anything that has hooks, zips or velcro, which pull tufts loose — a single pulled tuft is the beginning of the end for a tufted cover. Do not tumble dry on high heat; air drying preserves both the texture and the fabric. Shake it out after washing to lift the tufts. Pair it with plain sheets so the texture leads, and check the cover against your duvet's dimensions before ordering so it does not sag inside.
