A cartoon themed duvet set: the whole bed in one character or theme rather than a single printed cover. For a child moving from a cot to a proper bed, or into their own room for the first time, a themed bed does more for the transition than anything else you can buy — the bed becomes theirs, not just a bed.

Buying guide
Themed sets are outgrown faster than plain ones — expect two to three years of enthusiasm rather than a decade, and price it as a fun purchase rather than an investment. Wash cool, dry in the shade, and keep a plain set in reserve for when the theme is in the wash. Popular characters sell out, so order when you see it.
How it compares
Against a single cartoon cover, a themed set carries the design across the whole bed. Against plain bedding with cartoon cushions, the set commits fully — more impact, less flexibility. Against an adult set in a child's room, this is what a child will actually be excited about.
