A waffle-weave poplin cotton duvet cover set in 6x7 with two pillowcases, in white, grey or beige. Waffle weave is a genuinely functional texture: the raised grid holds the fabric slightly off your skin, which makes it feel cooler and dry faster than a flat weave — the reason waffle is used for hotel bathrobes and spa linen.

Buying guide
Waffle weave shrinks slightly on its first hot wash, so wash cool and it keeps its size. The texture hides creases well, which means no ironing for most people. All three colours are neutral — pick beige for warmth, grey for a modern room, white for the crispest hotel look.
How it compares
Against flat cotton, waffle feels cooler against the skin and dries faster. Against tufted covers, waffle is a woven texture rather than a stitched one, so it launders more easily. Against microfibre, cotton breathes better under a duvet.
