Buying guide
Decide the bulb before the fitting, because it changes everything about how a wall light reads. Warm white LED (around 2700–3000K) suits bedrooms and living rooms; anything above 4000K will make a gold frame look cold. E27 is the common large screw fitting, so replacements are easy to find anywhere in Kenya. Mount wall lights at about 150–160cm from the floor in a hallway, and lower — roughly 120cm — beside a bed where you want light falling on a book rather than in your eyes. Fit them in pairs wherever there is symmetry to respect, such as either side of a bed or a mirror. Use a qualified electrician for the wiring, and plan the switch position before the cable is chased into the wall.
