A toilet brush shaped as a golf club and putting green, in green — a novelty that still does the job. The stiff bristle head cleans a bowl properly, and the stand doubles as the drip holder, which is the part a novelty design usually gets wrong. It is bought equally for guest bathrooms and as a joke gift for a golfer.

Buying guide
Rinse the head after every use and let it drain in the stand rather than pressing it down wet into a closed holder. Replace any toilet brush every three to six months — bristles soften with use and stop scrubbing effectively. Keep it strictly for the toilet, never for tiles or the basin.
How it compares
Against a plain toilet brush, this is the one that gets commented on in a guest bathroom. Against a disposable-head system, a standard brush costs far less over a year. Against a flat scrubber, the shaped head reaches under the rim where staining actually starts.
