Cotton bedsheets cut for the 5x6 double bed — the most common bed size in Kenyan homes, and the one where getting the fit right matters most because the sheet is in use every night. Cotton is the choice you feel rather than see: it breathes on a warm night and softens with every wash instead of going slick.

Buying guide
Buy two sets for a bed in daily use so the bed is never bare on laundry day. Wash once before first use to soften the cotton and settle any loose dye. Dry in the shade — strong all-day sun weakens cotton fibres far faster than washing does.
How it compares
Against microfibre, cotton breathes better and takes hot washing for years, while creasing more. Against a duvet cover set, sheets are the layer you sleep against, so fabric quality is felt more directly here. Against a 6x6 set, this is cut for the smaller double bed.
