A fitted waterproof quilted mattress protector in 3*6, 4*6, 5*6 and 6*6, in seven colours. A mattress is the most expensive thing in a bedroom and the only one that cannot be washed — one spill, one accident or one illness is enough to mark it permanently. A waterproof protector is the layer that prevents all of that for a fraction of the cost.

Buying guide
Essential on a child's bed and on any new mattress you intend to keep for years. Check your mattress depth as well as the bed size so the elastic reaches. Wash it on a normal cycle but dry it on low or on the line, since very high heat degrades waterproof membranes over time.
How it compares
Against a cotton mattress pad, waterproofing stops liquid rather than just cushioning. Against no protector, it is the difference between a mattress that lasts a decade and one ruined in year two. Against a plastic sheet, quilted fabric is quiet and does not sleep sweaty.
