Pure cotton fitted bedsheets in assorted designs. A fitted sheet is the one that stays where you put it: elastic around the whole edge grips under the mattress, so it does not work loose and leave you sleeping on bare mattress by morning — the single most common complaint about flat sheets, especially with restless sleepers or children.

Buying guide
Check your mattress depth as well as its length and width — a fitted sheet cut for a thin mattress will not stretch over a thick pillow-top, and one cut too deep bunches. Cotton softens with washing, so wash once before first use. Two fitted sheets per bed is the practical minimum for a bed in daily use.
How it compares
Against a flat sheet, a fitted one stays put without tucking skills and suits children's beds and restless sleepers. Against microfibre, pure cotton breathes better and takes hot washing. Against a full set, fitted sheets are what you replace most often, since they take the most wear.
