A striped duvet cover set in seven colours: white, red, cream, green, blue, grey and beige. Stripes are the most forgiving pattern on a bed — they hide creasing, they run with the length of the bed so the room looks tidier, and they never date the way a print does. Seven colours means you can match almost any bedroom.

Buying guide
Lay the stripe lengthways down the bed, which is how the cover is cut and what makes the bed look longer and neater. Cream, grey and beige are the practical family choices; red and green are statements in a plain room. Wash cool with like colours on the first cycle.
How it compares
Against plain covers, stripes hide creases and add structure. Against a printed cover, a stripe does not date. Against a tufted or pleated cover, this is simpler to launder and cheaper.
