A white striped duvet cover set with a binded edge — a stitched border around the hem. It is the construction detail hospitality buyers ask for by name: bound edges stay square after hundreds of laundry cycles, where a plain hem curls, twists and eventually frays, making otherwise clean bedding look worn out.

Buying guide
Smooth the bound edge as you make the bed and the whole cover sits square. Wash hot for hygiene in a guest room and dry in the shade, which keeps both the binding crisp and the white bright. Two sets per bed is the practical minimum for a short let.
How it compares
Against an unbinded cover, the border is what keeps the cover looking new after a year of hot washing. Against a plain white set, the stripe adds texture. Against a tufted cover, binding is subtle — quality rather than decoration.
